Explosive Dampening: Weapon Rebalancing in Uprising 1.3 // Discuss this Blog
On the battlefield, different weapons have different roles. If you're engaged in close quarters fighting, you obviously don't want a Sniper Rifle, you want a Shotgun. The Assault Rifle is versatile and can be useful in a number of situations, but it's rarely the absolute best weapon in any circumstance. The design goal in DUST 514 is that all weapons have their roles where they excel and others where they are weak.

CPM AMA 7/24/2013 Summary Report // Corresponding Dev Post
CPM AMA (Ask Me Anything) was widely successful with the channel hitting 80 participants and a large amount of questions that after 3 hours we had our fill. Hopefully the CPM will try to get more AMAs out in the future and hopefully other CPM members and more questions can be asked as the game, CCP, CPM and community evolves.

In-Game Event: DUST 514 Prime League Tournament REGISTRATION July 26th GÇô August 2nd
Registration begins Friday, July 26th through till Friday August 2nd and the tournament kicks off on Thursday, August 1st 2013.
The tournament will begin on Monday, August 12th with elimination rounds ending on Friday, September 6th and the championship matches starting on Monday, September 9th and ending on Wednesday, September 18 2013.

Sometimes a mercenary wants to take a break from the killing. Kick back, relax in his mercenary quarters, pop open a can of Quafe, and relax while watching the video screen. And what, pray tell, do they watch? For an immortal clone soldier, the old holoreel standards just don't have that oomph. So they flip over to the latest live streams of the wars, footage captured by mercenaries as they do the killing. See some other poor sucker take a Charged Scrambler Rifle blast to the face.
In DUST 514, one of the up-and-coming streamers is RND Jungian, who has produced quite a number of live streams and DUST videos for the pleasure of mercs around the cluster!
